The mission of The HIV Clinic is to provide comprehensive care to people with HIV/AIDS in Spokane and the Inland Northwest – and to educate future internal medicine specialists to manage HIV/AIDS as a chronic disease.
Our primary staff includes a physician’s assistant and supervising doctor (both HIV specialists), internal medicine residents and a physician director who supervises the clinic.
Patients of The HIV Clinic have access to several specialists, including a psychiatrist, endocrinologist, dermatologist and podiatrist.
The HIV Clinic in Spokane has established working relationships with many local and state organizations.
Spokane AIDS Network and Spokane Regional Health District case managers work closely with our clinic and our patients.
The HIV/AIDS Substance Abuse Program of New Horizons, a chemical dependency treatment program, relies heavily on The HIV Clinic for related specialty needs.
The Northwest AIDS Education Training Center, funded by the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS program, provides ongoing HIV education to clinic faculty, internal medicine residents and medical students, plus consultation for complicated patient management issues and program development.
