Alan's Story

Dear Betty,

Thank you for your kind note on Georgia's passing.

Your services for my grandmother Georgia, were invaluable to the well-being of our entire family. When we brought Georgia as a frail 100 year old from living on her own in Montana to an assisted living facility here, we had no idea what to expect. To our delight, under your care she regained weight and her health improved! For years, Georgia survived many minor mishaps thanks to your intelligent care. She arrived with a "pre-cancerous lesion" on her leg, but even that disappeared within a few years. We know that having someone with such practical knowledge of geriatrics was extremely valuable and saved Georgia from needless distress.

Specifically, there was an incident where the hospital prescribed a medication that you knew had harmful side effects to elderly patients, something the other doctors were not aware of, and thanks to you she continued on her own two feet for over seven more years. Being able to rely on your quality services for her medical care was a tremendous relief from stress on our family. It was sad to have Georgia finally go, but it is a great comfort to know that because of your services, Georgia had an excellent quality of life all the way to the end, to reach the amazing age of 107 and 11 months!

We hope that In Home Primary Care continues and it should become a model for other geriatric services if it has not already. The costs were reasonable, for extremely practical and effective services. We wish you continued success.
