For Patients

What is Internal Medicine?

Doctors of internal medicine – also called “internists” – are different from general practitioners in that they focus entirely on treating adult patients. They don’t deliver babies or do surgery. They can treat something as routine as the flu, or provide care for diseases like diabetes or heart disease.

Backed by the Best

Our internists are backed by the specialists and resources of Providence Medical Group. Providence operates more than 40 medical clinics in Spokane and Stevens counties. Our clinics are staffed by more than 250 doctors, including specialists ranging from cardiology to orthopedics to urology. When it comes to health care, we have you covered.
