Let our sinus doctors help you breathe easier

Do you suffer from chronic sinusitis or another lingering sinus problem? Have you had sinus surgery, but didn’t find relief? The experts at the Providence Sinus Center can help. Our doctors offer a full range of surgical and non-surgical treatments – the most comprehensive subspecialty care in Snohomish County – to improve breathing and sinus function in children and adults.

What is sinusitis?

Sinus Diagram

Sinusitis is inflammation of the areas around the nose. It can last anywhere from a few days to several years. There are a number of causes: bacteria, viruses – even fungus. Or, it can stem from seasonal allergies, anatomical changes or chemicals in your environment.

Chronic sinusitis (sinusitis lasting more than 12 weeks) can cause congestion, breathing difficulty, facial pain, clogged ears, decreased smell/taste, secondary infection and other tiresome symptoms.

In reality, sinusitis isn’t just one disease. It’s any number of disorders that produce similar symptoms. The doctors at the Providence Sinus Center have advanced training to treat not only common forms of sinusitis, but all types of sinusitis. They know that just like there’s no single cause, there’s also no one-size-fits-all treatment.

Thorough diagnosis, state-of-the-art treatment

Our team features Dr. James Erhardt, board certified ear, nose and throat doctor. He’ll conduct a complete evaluation – which might include imaging studies, quality-of-life assessments, cultures or nasal endoscopy – then offer a personalized treatment plan to help you breathe easier and feel better.

Many patients find relief with medical therapies like topical medications, allergy management and naturopathic therapy. If you need surgery, our doctors have expertise in minimally invasive techniques like image-guided sinus surgery, radiofrequency coblation and balloon sinuplasty. In fact, Providence Sinus Center is one of only a few clinics in Washington to offer these state-of-the-art treatments. And, we welcome patients who’ve had sinus surgery before.
