  • Diabetes including type 1 & type 2 diabetes
  • Thyroid diseases including hypothyroidism
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Menopause
  • Osteoporosis
  • Cholesterol
  • Hypertension

Care for Diabetes

We offer comprehensive care for diabetes, a very common and chronic hormonal condition. Our providers collaborate with a wide range of specialists, including cardiologists and podiatrists, to ensure that all aspects of our patients’ diabetes treatment are coordinated carefully for optimal care.

Special services for diabetes patients include evaluation of data from the glucose meter, insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor, for use in helping understand the effect of meals, medication and physical activity on glucose levels. Nancy Churchill-Lowell, Certified Diabetes Educator/Nutritionist, works closely with our providers to create individualized treatment plans and education related to nutrition, weight management, insulin therapy, blood testing and glucose monitoring, and medication.

Other Hormonial Diseases

Besides diabetes, our specialists offer leading-edge care for hormonal diseases of other types. For example, we offer a unique service for patients with thyroid nodules called ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration, which is used to obtain thyroid cells to be tested for potential cancer.
