We Have The Finest Facilities

In addition to personal, compassionate care, you’ll benefit from new facilities and advanced technology at Providence. The new surgical unit on the Colby Campus features operating rooms specifically equipped for orthopedic and hand surgery. These rooms have a full arsenal of sophisticated equipment and technology, including fully integrated AV technology that allows the surgical team to easily view each patient’s images, reports, data and more. Following surgery, you’ll recover in a private room designed for your safety, comfort and convenience. The nurses on your unit will be specially trained to care for patients who have undergone orthopedic and hand surgery. They follow best practices that will help you start on the path to healing and recovery. While you receive the best possible surgical care, your family and friends can relax in spacious lounges and track your progress on our electronic patient information boards. They can enjoy meals, snacks and beverages in our cafes and kitchenettes and tap into our free Wi-Fi. We also offer playrooms for children.

We're Communicating - With Each Other and With You

At Providence, your care will be well coordinated between your surgeon and other members of your care team. Your medical information will flow seamlessly from one team member to the next. Your entire medical record – including information from recent office visits, lab results, imaging studies and even hospital stays – is available in a single, complete electronic medical record. This gives your surgical team instant access to vital information. That means you receive optimal safety and superior care. As a patient, you’ll have 24/7 online access to this same medical record, including post-op and discharge instructions, medication lists and post surgical education. In addition, you may be able to communicate electronically with your physician, request prescription refills and even schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
