Hope Begins Here for Spokane Cancer Patients

Fifty years ago, only one in four patients survived cancer. Today, nearly half of all Americans who develop cancer will survive the disease. Much of that progress is a result of research aimed at early detection, better diagnostic methods and more effective treatment.

Providence Regional Cancer Center, a partnership of Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital and Holy Family Hospital, offers state-of-the-art cancer care – from prevention and screening, to treatment and recovery. Our expert doctors and staff provide many options for prevention, education, treatment, care and one-on-one support. You won’t find a more comprehensive cancer center anywhere in the Inland Northwest. Hope definitely begins here.

People of Providence

The compassionate professionals at Providence Regional Cancer Center have treated people with cancer for more than a century, living the Sisters of Providence commitment to provide quality care for all who need it. In fact, Mother Joseph, Sacred Heart’s founder, died of cancer. Today, we offer the services Mother Joseph needed for herself … and imagined for everyone.

In the News

The future of personalized medicine is here

Providence and the Chan Soon-Shiong Institute of Molecular Medicine are creating the country’s first clinical network for whole genomic sequencing - technology that gives the most comprehensive view of each patient’s disease available, and enables clinicians to use the exact genetic make-up of a tumor to tailor the best treatments available.
