Patient Information

For each appointment, you’ll check in at the Cancer Center reception desk. It may be helpful to bring a list of questions for your care team.

For your convenience, all of your appointments for diagnostic tests, doctor appointments or other health professional appointments will be scheduled by our coordinators. Call the Cancer Center and ask for scheduling: 509-897-5700 or 800-452-5052.

Insurance details

Be sure to bring your current insurance cards with you to each visit. Before any treatment or procedure, our preauthorization staff will contact your insurance company to make sure that they will authorize the treatment as covered under your policy. Copayments are expected at the time of your appointment.

If you are a self-pay patient – if you do not have insurance coverage and are not covered by governmental programs – you will be asked to make a down payment at the time of your appointment. If you are unable to make the down payment for financial reasons, let us know, as you may be eligible for assistance.

What to bring to your appointment

  • Insurance cards
  • Picture ID
  • Referral from your current primary care physician, if required by your insurance plan and if you are a new patient
  • Copayment, if applicable
  • A list of your prescriptions and any other over-the-counter medications or supplements you are taking

Upon request:

  • X-ray (actual films or CD) and X-ray reports (i.e. MRI, PET scan, CT, bone scan, diagnostic reports)
  • Pathology report and slides
  • Medical records
