Problem Gambling Services

  • Problem Gambling Diagnostic Assessment/Evaluation: A biopsychosocial assessment is performed to determine the level of impairment caused from problem gambling. Our specially certified staff will complete an assessment and use the findings to develop an individualized treatment plan

  • Outpatient: The outpatient program is designed to provide additional support and to build prevention skills. The goal is to build appropriate skills and achieve permanent changes in the individual’s gambling behavior

  • Individual Counseling: Individual counseling sessions are one-to-one encounters between the individual and the counselor. These sessions are designed to complement the group sessions and allow the individual and the clinician to work on, and develop, individualized treatment plans. Jointly the individual and the clinician develop strategies to move towards resolution of treatment issues. Individual sessions occur, at a minimum, once a month.

  • Family Counseling: For those receiving treatment, we encourage the inclusion of family members in some of the individual sessions, if clinically appropriate.  But we are also able to conduct individual counseling sessions one-on-one with family members even if their loved one is not receiving treatment for his/her problem gambling.
