Foot Orthotics Program

Think of your body as a house with your feet being the foundation and your head as the roof. If the foundation is crooked it will cause stress up the whole structure. If your feet don't function correctly, not only can you have foot pain but you can also experience pain in other areas of the body all the way up to the back and neck.

How Foot Orthotics Can Help You

Foot orthotics can help decrease stress on the body by correcting anatomical alignment while standing, walking and running. Our Physical Therapists can asses your feet and posture to determine if orthotics would be beneficial in treating your symptoms. Orthotics can be used to treat many different foot types such as flat feet to control motion, or high arches to provide cushion and shock absorption.

Foot Orthotics Can Help Treat:

  • Plantar Fascitits
  • Recurrent Ankle Sprains
  • Neck Pain
  • Achilles Tendonitis
  • Shin Splints
  • IT Band Syndrome
  • Knee Pain
  • Hip Bursitis
  • Low Back Pain

How Custom Orthotics Are Made

After assessing your foot mobility and alignment, we will discuss if semi-custom or custom orthotics would better fit your needs. If custom orthotics are needed a mold of your foot is taken with casting material. That mold is then sent to Biomechanical Labs in California to make your orthotic. This process takes about seven to ten days. When your orthotics arrive at our clinic, we will schedule a consultation for the fitting and usage of the device. Custom orthotics can be designed to fit into a variety of shoes from high heels and dress shoes to athletic shoes.
