Pink the Rink
Each year in October, Providence General Foundation partners with the Everett Silvertips for the Annual Pink the Rink Night! All funds raised from this event go to the Providence General Foundation to provide free mammograms for women in Snohomish County with limited means to pay and also helps support other breast health activities. With the help of the best fans in the WHL and local companies, the Silvertips have helped raise over $500,000 from Pink the Rink over the last six seasons. That equates to 4,000 free mammograms for women in Snohomish County!
Because of the generosity of the Everett Silvertips, the Safeway Foundation and everyone who donated or purchased tickets for the 2016 Pink the Rink game, we were able to raise more than $80,000 to support the Providence Comprehensive Breast Center.
Providence Regional Medical Center’s Comprehensive Breast Center is an invaluable resource for our region, providing preventative screening and diagnosis with the newest technology and highly skilled physicians and staff. Providence Comprehensive Breast Center works in partnership with the Providence Cancer Partnership so individuals diagnosed with breast cancer can receive outstanding treatment close to home.Last year 400 women were diagnosed with breast cancer and received treatment at Providence.
