Special Events, Programs and Giving Opportunities

The Foundation funds equipment, education and other health care programs offered by Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital, and Holy Family Hospital. Gifts can be designated to specific areas of medical care such as cancer, heart, pediatrics, women's and children's services, and many others.

Gifts can also be given to the Area of Greatest Need. This "unrestricted fund" can be accessed by all areas and ministries served by the Foundation through our grant process.

The Area of Greatest Need fund enables the Foundation to respond to a variety of local needs within Providence at the discretion of the Foundation board of directors. Patient care services, health education, capital improvements and vital equipment purchases have all been made possible through grant awards from the Area of Greatest Need.

Area of Greatest Need programs recently supported by the Foundation include:

  • Medication for indigent patients.
  • Cardiac equipment.
  • Pediatric and adult oncology support.
  • Assistance for women with breast cancer.
  • Funds for needy kidney patients.
