Chris Garratt, Executive Director
Chris was born and raised in Tacoma, WA where he graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School. During his college search, he fell in love with Walla Walla and chose Whitman College, where he played varsity baseball and graduated with a degree in Politics and Economics.
Chris brings a diverse background of professional experience to his role as Executive Director, having worked in accounting at the Boeing Company, and in Admissions at Whitman College. He has a strong background in hotel sales and marketing, having served over 9 years in leadership roles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. Most recently, he was the area director of sales and marketing for Red Lion Hotels, overseeing a diverse portfolio of hotels in Eastern Washington.
Chris and his family relished the opportunity to return to Walla Walla and work for Providence St. Mary. He and his wife have been blessed with two children, both of whom were born at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. “Each time, the experience at St. Mary could not have been better for my wife and baby. Everyone from the physicians, to the nurses, to the staff, all demonstrated exceptional care. We feel lucky to have such a wonderful medical center in our town, and I love connecting our community to this tremendous institution.”
When Chris is not running after his kids, you can find him on the golf course, running, cooking, following the Seahawks and Mariners or enjoying some of his wife’s family wine, Reynvaan Family Vineyards.
