Please Note: This Conference Has Been Postponed Until Further Notice
This conference will focus on the legal, ethical and clinical aspects of advance care planning: what it is; how it works; and how to make it work for you.
The conference is open to anyone—health care professionals and the general public—interested in learning more about advance care planning. It will cover advance directives for health care decisions, the physician POLST form and guardianships, as well as particularly difficult issues such as decisions about artificial nutrition and hydration.
Speakers include an attorney who will address guardianships; a palliative care physician; a medical ethicist; and a nationally-known theologian who will discuss advance care planning and address current controversies over POLST forms, artificial nutrition and hydration.
