Did you know?
Forty percent of women in our community (our wives, daughters, mothers and friends) have not received a screening mammogram in the last two years. Walla Walla County has one of the highest rates of late-stage breast cancer diagnoses in the State.
On September 2, we’ll come together to change those statistics. We’ll raise awareness for early detection. We’ll pack the stands in a sea of pink. We’ll honor survivors and their families. And together, we’ll raise crucial funds for Providence St. Mary Foundation to support local breast cancer patients!

PRCA rodeos across the nation have been hosting Official Tough Enough to Wear Pink nights over the last decade, raising more than $20 million in the fight against breast cancer.
This year, Providence St. Mary Foundation is excited to partner with the Walla Walla Frontier Days to bring Tough Enough to Wear Pink to Friday night’s local rodeo.
Have fun while helping others
During the rodeo, cowboys and cowgirls will take to the arena in pink shirts to show their support for breast cancer awareness. Pink apparel and merchandise will be on sale, a special giveaway is planned for the first 500 people to pack the stands and spectators are encouraged to wear pink.
A portion of the funds raised will benefit Providence St. Mary Foundation to provide free screening mammograms for local women who cannot afford them and to provide assistance to breast cancer patients for a wide range of needs that are not usually covered by insurance such as travel expenses, wigs, medications and items for symptom control. Funds also are used to advance breast cancer treatment.
Rodeo tickets can be purchased at the Walla Walla Frontier Days Office or online here.
Party like a VIP
Limited tickets are on sale for a Pink VIP package, which entitles you to a Frontier Days VIP Corral Pass, rodeo ticket (includes gate admission), a catered dinner from El Sombrero, two beverages and a special meet-and -greet throughout the evening with PRCA Rodeo Professionals and Troy the Wild Child Lerwell, the rodeo clown. After the rodeo, dance the night away to Old Dominion at the Columbia REA midway stage.
VIP Tickets are $150 each, with proceeds to benefit Providence St. Mary Foundation. Each ticket makes two mammograms available to local women in need. Call (509) 897-2071 to purchase your VIP Tickets.
