Dr. Chock is board certified by both the American College of Surgeons and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. This advanced certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine requires a thorough understanding of the genetic, biologic, environmental, social and behavioral factors that contribute to obesity. She has a variety of tools at her fingertips, including medications to modify appetite and energy balance before surgery – and, possibly, in addition to surgery.
