Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Dr Doggitt and his assistant are always interested of my needs health wise and very polite and make me feel comfortable. I am amazed at how on time they are. Very little waiting.

He's fine. But the receptionists and office need help. Less business like and more friendly please.

I believe Dr Casey Doggett is one the most quick to understand and eager to handle much more in 15 minutes than any Dr I have met. I am an RN and chronic patient. He is not perfect no, BUT ONE YOUR BEST none the less.

Dr. Doggett is very cold and short with his answers. We will no longer be having him for our doctor.

Dr. Doggett is an efficiant provider. I assume he cares. But his efficiancy is the problem. He seems to work according to the idea that health care is entirely about business. Our visits are all about the checklist. Show caring check. Adddress the problem check. Do paperwork check. End of visit. Little or no interest is shown in who I am as a person. I don't appreciate being treated like a number to be dealt with as quickly as possible.

I don't always feel listened to. The nurse was very kind, but I told both her and the Dr. that I didn't feel good (due to sinus problems) and it was brushed off. I was asked about getting the Tdap, and offered a choice in getting it that day, which I did. I didn't feel good though and didn't know that I probably shouldn't get that vaccine due to not feeling great. As a result, I suffered with a very swollen/painful right arm and flu-like symptoms that weren't helpful with my sinus problems.

As this was a "get to know you" appt I was very pleased with the doctor and his nurse.

After being sick for 3 weeks, I was hoping that the provider would help me resolve this. Instead, I was just told to wait "7-10" more days. After paying the copay, this was a very frustrating result. I was especially frustrated because I get sinus infections often, which should have been seen in my medical records. I felt like the provider wasn't listening to me or understanding my situation.

Dr. Doggett is the most involved, compassionate dr. I've ever seen and I see a lot of them! [...] If he left I probably would as well. The staff in general are amazing [...]

my chart is great but some personal contact would be good. I feel like my chart is too efficient some time. I would have liked to heard the no it good results in person/phone rather than. reading them.on my chart. I also am grateful for technology but if the nurse and doctor would look at me and give my conditions or question as much attention as the info they type on the computer I may not have to com.e back as often as I do. I do not want to change doctors, I do like my doctor, I just don't feel valued as a person.

My appointment was for a new patient encounter. When the intake nurse asked me what issues I needed addressed, I told her I needed a prescription for my antidepressant and I had right hip pain. She told me I had to choose one issue or the other. Because I am healthy and do not belabor problems there ended up being time to take care of both issues, but I was shocked that I was told to choose ONE issue at a new patient appointment. Other than that, everyone was professional and I have no complaints about the care I received.

I felt rushed, I had a few questions and the nurse said to pick the two most important things I wanted to talk about.also I felt like he didn't even care how much pain I am in.really sad because I was hoping to find a caring doctor but I ended up being disappointed and feel like he wanted to get me in and out as soon as possible so he could see more people [...]

when I came the next day to have a fasting blood draw taken for labs, I showed up just after 12 noon, and said I was there for the fasting blood draw. The receptionist just looked at me. I said, "I think the lab is in the back", to which she replied, "they're closed until 1:30". It's fine they were closed, as I went across the street, but I found it odd that she didn't volunteer that information when I first informed her why I was there.

08/01/2016
Provider seemed to be in a big hurry and not interested in what I had to say. Neglected to chart concerns, so it was next to impossible to get the referrals I needed.

07/05/2016
to be honest I do not know what's going on with my doctor his nurse crew is wonderful understanding not so good he just goes up and down on your medication [...] I follow and do everything the doctor asked me but I'm not going to take half the medication cut back take more than cut back it's ridiculous

Dr. Doggett is the best doctor I have been to and pays close attention to what I have to say. He always responds over mychart in a matter of hours and looks for solutions not temporary prescriptions.

My last appointment was suppose to be a follow up to an appointment I had with a allergist. The appointment was only discussed after I brought it up. I have been having digestive issues that I told the doctor I thought was being made worse by the [...] I am taking. He did not offer any suggestion or reply other than asking me if I check my blood sugar. I told him I had never checked my blood sugar since I had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 3 years ago and I did not know how to even go about testing my self. He then said I should be checking my sugar level at least 2 to 3 times a week and to start doing that. I have no idea how or even where to get the equipment to test myself with. [...]

If it wasn't for the nursing assistant, I would never get a question answered. The doctor comes in, shakes my hand, asks me what is new and then immediately turns his attention to his laptop without responding in any way. I have a chronic condition for which I take prescription medicine. The doctor renews my rx, but in 3 years has never asked me about the condition even though he was not the original provider. I also have asbestos related disease diagnosed and treated by the […] Clinic in […] with records sent to the doctor. He has never mentioned or asked me about it. I had a "physical" last year where I remained fully dressed and the only thing the doctor did was feel my neck, listen to my chest and order blood tests. If I had a cancerous mole on my back or a lump in my belly,he would never discover it. Is this the new "preventative medicine"?
80

03/09/2016
I love my doctor. Wouldn't change a thing.

03/02/2016
This was my first time seeing this doctor. I was just released from the hospital a week prior to my appointment. I felt like I was rushed through my check up. I had some concerns about issues prior to my hospital stay when I went to urgent care. The doctor never answered or gave me any insight on what I should do next to resolve issues I'm having.
70

03/02/2016
The visit went fast and service was efficient. The doctor sat mostly at his computer during our conversation. I found out after my visit that I made a mistake in communication, and this was not found during the visit. It would have been avoided if there was less computer and more direct talk during the visit.

We were very pleased with Dr. Casey Doggett. He listened carefully and showed compassion and understanding during the visit. We provided the names and contact information for the specialists we would like referrals to. Dr. Doggett agreed with our referral requests and stated that his "nurse" would 1) contact the specialty care offices and 2) get transfer of information requests completed since this visit was our first since we moved to Spokane. The "nurse" sent a cardiology referral to the wrong cardiologist office. [...] The "nurse" did not make the referrals for GI or for the modified barium swallow study. [...] The "nurse" also did not give us the paperwork to transfer our records. We did request numerous outcomes from our initial meeting, but had the outcomes listed in priority order on a typed paper that we provided to the "nurse".
