Interests

Medical Interests

My clinical and research interests concern reducing excess disability (i.e., neurocognitive impairment) and improving functional outcomes in older persons. These are people who have chronic medical or psychiatric illness, dementia, or experience functional impairment due to head injury. I am also interested in examining the efficacy and effectiveness of Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT; Strosahl et al.) in primary healthcare settings. Other interests include differential diagnosis of Adult ADHD, suicide risk assessment, and improving clinical outcomes from a systems-based perspective.

Personal Interests

Kayaking, running, hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
