Philosophy of Care

To me the patient always comes first. I believe it is essential for patients to have a clear understanding of their condition and treatment options so they can better partner in medical decision-making. People should always come first, and that’s why I always treat each patient with empathy and respect.

Dr. Iuliano had not even looked at my MRI before entering the exam room, in which I waited at least 20 minutes after my vitals were taken. He did not offer any remedy...I had to ask. It was like pulling teeth! The only useful info I got from this visit was that surgery would not help arthritis of the spine and his office did not do injections.

This was the first time I visited this office, so my experiences are somewhat limited. I was surprised at the length of time between the visit and my scheduled surgery.

There was so much information at this visit that I couldn't make notes of it all nor remember all that was said. It would have been good to have a printout of the options of treatment available that I could look over later. It is an important matter and I need to have all options well understood.
