    Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

The nurse is always great. The woman who drew [...]'s blood was absolutely HORRIBLE! I will NEVER allow blood to be drawn in that office again.

We came in for a followup after my son was diagnosed with ADHD. She was very pushy and rude using fear to try to pressure me into medicating him. did not give other treatment options and said things in front of my son such as it is bad he has ADHD, he will struggle with this for his life, and that adults with ADHD grow up to not hold a job, struggle in school, and depression as well and even divorce. IN FRONT OF MY 8 YEAR OLD SON. This is not ok and I am setting my kids up with a doctor at a different clinic.

Provider didn't listen very well & seemed a bit short when I asked questions/explained things.

The office staff and RN were rude and unprofessional, Dr. Icenogle seemed very rushed and I will not be bringing my children back to this office. This is not the first time we have had this problem with this office and staff.

I would expect a pediatrician to be more understanding of normal child behavior. She was abrupt with the children and they were noticeably uncomfortable.

My children have both been with Dr. Icenogle since 2011. I could not ask for a better provider. So much so that when she moved to another location we followed her.

I wanted a delayed immunization schedule and the doctor knew that from the beginning. yet every time I go in there all she wants to do is give my son shoots!! as soon as I decline she gets very snippy with me and proceeds to just do the bear minimum and barely gives me time to ask questions about my son. I realize that she has a way of practicing medicine, but this is my son and I have a right to chose his immunization schedule. if you just go with what everyone tells you then go to that doctor, but if you have a brain of your own and an opinion then I would seek treatment elsewhere!!!!

fast schedluing time also not waiting long to see the doctors

I will be finding care elsewhere. This provider was not adequately concerned for my daughter's health.

    Feels rushed at appointments.

Health concerns were properly addressed. This provider just doesn't make us feel as comfortable as others.

Can seems grouchy. I understand we all have bad days, but have been to office 4 times in last 4 months and she has the same demeanor.

The experience (check up for our 9 mo old) felt impersonal, like we were another number. Previous doctors we had in a other state walked us through growth charts, upcoming milestones, sleep and eating habits, etc. But Dr. Icenogle did not provide any of that information proactively. When asking her questions she would answer some but mainly referred us to a website (which did not have the information needed).

Dr. Icenogle is an excellent pediatrician and very knowledgeable. However, her staff is lacking follow up on her notes and conveying her information back to the patient/patient's parent(s).

[…] needed her 4 year old shots. She can clearly understand English and the nurse or doc didn't bother to direct the S word to me. The nurse placed the 2 needles right in front of […] so she's completely freaking out at this point. […] clearly told me from walking in the door that she did not like this place. I told her we needed to give them a chance before we make that decision. From the receptionists, to the gal that took our information, to the doctor and to the nurse I am not impressed with this location. […]

Dr. Icenogle is our trusted doctor. She has come to know us over the years and is one of the most competent physicians I have ever know.

Deborah Icenogle is the worst Pediatrcian we've had our son see and we won't be going back to her after two terrible visits. She's rude, condescending, judgmental and has zero kindness when talking with our son. She's made no effort to get to know him or us and makes rude comments. It's extremely disappointing that she's part of the Providence group as we've come to expect a high level of care and compassion of which Dr. Icenogle has none. My son has never been nervous about seeing a doctor until her and thankfully has the ability to understand that she's not the norm and that we'll move on to a Pediatrcian who will meet our needs. […]
