Dr. Lechner has expertise in medical oncology and hematology. He is currently the Medical Director of Providence St. Peter Hospital Regional Cancer Center and Chairman of the weekly cancer conference at Providence St. Peter Hospital.

Awards & Achievements

Dr. Lechner has received professional grants to undertake original oncology research from Oregon Health Sciences University and the University of California at Los Angeles.  He graduated with honors from the University of California at Los Angeles.


Dr. Lechner has published original research on topics including tomoxifen use in advanced breast cancer and special treatment protocols for high risk localized breast cancer. He has also conducted original research regarding radiation therapy, and intralymphatic injection immunotherapy, among others.


Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating.
