Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

The entire procedure from 1st visit to surgery was quick and appreciated and seems at this early stage to be successful.

[...] I think Dr. Martz is bored with his career & may be a burn out? I was excited to meet Martz & do surgery close to home - I would not want him to do spinter removal - cold - rude - & indifferent! [...]

The Dr. is skilled surgeon and my surgery was very successful. Like a lot of surgeons the face to face of the pre and post op visits could have been handled over the phone. I am 73 years old and live 80 miles from the office. It is hard for me to make that drive especially since it was very windy and raining on the drive up and back and then spend 5 minutes answering a couple of questions and the visit is over and I have 80 miles of wind to deal with again. A phone consult would have been plenty.
