Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

It felt as if i was being looked down upon and i was constantly asked what my profession was despite giving a very clear answer, almost as if my response was not good enough. [...]

Dr Morasch is intelligent, but a tad impersonal. He never calls me by my name, instead he calls me ma'am each time he greets me. He does greet me with a handshake and makes eye-contact. However, I have a cough that is being attributed to allergies - I'm afraid it might be cancer. I guess I want him to assure me it is not cancer, but he is quick to say we can't assure you it isn't cancer. I leave his appointments with the same fear I walked in with. He seems a bit impatient. Having said all this, know that I am not so disappointed as to look for another provider. I'll wait and see if we can establish some sort of rapport that allows him to understand my concerns.

I appreciate very much having Dr Morasch as my doctor. Of all the family doctors who have cared for me at St. Marys over a numer of decades, I rate Dr Mosrasch number 1. I have had no bad experience. I'd like to say that I find that My Charts is an excellent way to communicate with Dr. Morasch between appointments.

I don't believe he is a good womens doctor. Sometimes he says things I know are not right.

I have a bulged disc in my back, and although I do not wish to take pain medication, I need to in order to function with the pain that it is causing. I understand federal regulations regarding narcotic pain medication, but with the proof in the MRI results, it should not be like pulling teeth to get medications that I need, and I should be able to be prescribed more than a 4-5 day supply of these medications [...] This is the only complaint I have with my doctor.

My experiences with Dr. Morasch have always been good. He was recommended to me by one of my senior citizens friends. My husband and my father-in-law also have Dr. Morash as their primary doctor. He is one of your best doctors.

Dr. Morasch is nice and kind and he listens. However, I am frustrated with the speed that my ailment is being figured out. I am still suffering for 7 months and everyone tells me I'm healthy, I'll be fine. I want a diagnosis and remedy so I don't have to keep suffering.

I had scheduled my appointment to get medical clearance for surgery. I took off work for this appointment. I asked the nurse if she had everything she needed to send to my surgeon. First she did not seem to know that tis was the reason for the visit. Then she said yes. By the time I got back to work there was a message that she didn't notice I needed an EKG. I called back the receptionist tried to get me back in that afternoon. The nurse said no. The nurse wouldn't talk to me and made the receptionist schedule. The nurse would not work around my work schedule or let another office do it. [...]

The wait time and communication about how long we had to wait was unacceptable. More value needs to be placed on patients time. This was not an ER visit. This was a scheduled appointment. An acceptable wait time is 10 to15minutes. 40 minute wait requires an explanation. You can do better. I hate to think of having to back for another wait.

I most recently had to call 3 days in a row before I could reach a nurse to discuss my referral status for an upper endoscopy which is a key procedure that I have to have done in order to move forward with obtaining [...] surgery.

Dr. Morasch encourages me to take less of ibuprofen and opioids and more of healthy nutritional foods for better health. He refers me to other professionals for more specialized care. He shows interest in our travels and relates to my husband. I would like more input about my ex-rays and labs.

he has no manners, did not introduce himself, [...] DID not listen to me at all. Will not see him again. I was a transfer from another Doctor in the same group. It was the worst experience I have ever had. They cancelled my appt. 4 times before I finally was able to see him. He never really addressed by need.

I trust Dr. Morasch to provide me the best in health he care. He has stuck with me though thick and thin medically, and he understands who I am and what I need for wellness. I always leave his office feeling well and confident in my health. You don't get much better than that.

My provider has given me the best of care. I received updates on medications, and a chest x-ray. Necessary lab work will be done before next appointment. My provider is an excellent doctor. Yes, I would recommend him to my family and friends.

This was the first time I had an appointment with Dr. Morasch. He was the rudest, most unprofessional physician I have ever seen. I felt degraded after my appointment. I felt that this physician was arrogant and didn't value me as a person. I will NEVER go back to him again. [...]

I had to wait 55 minutes to see my provider at my [...] appointment. That is unacceptable. The staff should have rescheduled my appointment instead of making me wait.

I have made regular scheduled visits to Dr. Morasch for two years. At age 60, it remains the first time I have had such excellent, consistent attention paid to my medical needs. I feel secure about all my follow-up visits. I am rather pleased. The Dr. is a good listener. He is attentive and works hard to instill suggestions leading to better health habits. He is friendly and courteous. I am very glad he is my primary health care provider.

The good part was I felt like he took my symptoms seriously and referred me to the proper specialists to find out the root health problems. The bad part was that I felt like he really didn't want to bother with finding out much about my health history just push me to specialists.
