Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

Dr. Peterson is an outstanding surgeon. He has done everything he can to both repair her knee post injury, he provides outstanding education, he cared enough to provide a long time for healing and has us set up for outstanding post op therapy as well. We couldn't be more thankful for the level of expertise and care that he provides.

Dr. Peterson gave me better overall understanding of what was going on in my body for other issues that I was seeing a physical therapist at the time.

Dr Peterson was rude, condescending, not empathetic to my needs [...]. I will NOT go back to see him! After waiting for 6 mos to see him, I expected more. What a waste of time and copay!

Dr. Peterson was so gracious to see me for a "second opinion" appointment on my right knee. He assured me that I wasn't wasting his time and that he was happy to answer any questions. I left with valuable information and peace of mind regarding my knee surgery nearly three years ago and am so grateful for his time and expertise. He asked me to schedule a follow up appointment in three months which I gladly did.

I saw Dr. Peterson for possible knee surgery. He was so patient with me and gave me more than ample time to discuss my situation. In the end I chose not to proceed with the surgery at this time.

Dr. Peterson spent a great deal of time with me explaiing in detail what was going on with my knee and the various options. He sent a note to my internist regarding my creatin levels which may prevent my taking anti-infammetories.

Dr Peterson operated on my rt knee in 2006, completing a total replacement. He or his PA, Dr [...], were always available for questions and/or concerns if not by phone then through My Chart. Because of his care and concern I returned to Dr Peterson to repair my lt knee. The intervening 10 years have taken to great a toll on my general health to risk another operation. Because I have ultimate trust in Dr Peterson's skill and training I opted to not continue towards a second surgery. I will not consult anyone else on the knee. Dr Peterson's entire staff were very helpful and many put in a great deal of time and effort. I'm sorry it didn't work out but I am greatful for their efforts on my behalf. If the future golds any possibility for a knee replacement I will return to PSHH for future consultations. I only hope that someone with similar skill, knowledge and compassion can be found at that time.
