Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments.

He did not even do a range of motion. He did not help me get on the exam table when he clearly knew that I was there for a damaged spine. Nor, did he help me down. This caused me more pain than when I first came into the office for help.

Dr. Shah and [...] have both been excellent! The immediate intervention and followup care that I have received have been awesome! They treated me with empathy and made me feel like they were as concerned about the outcome as I was.

Dr Shah is a highly skilled surgeon. He is also one of the kindest, most attentive providers I have met.

When I was referred to a neurosurgeon it was going to take over a month ER doctor reached Dr. Shah & he was able to work me in in about 20 days, for my first visit. This last appt was a follow-up & release to return to work. Dr. Shah was very caring & was who referred me to PT & also an injection in my back.

The only negative was that the closest opening for surgery was 13 days, and being in considerable pain, even with medicine has made the wait very hard. I would have appreciated being able to get a closer in surgery date to deal with my back. I understand things are busy, and I appreciate being able to have surgery, it's just having to wait.

It seemed my level of pain doesn't matter if it can't be seen on the mri. I felt as though I was not worth his time.

This provider listed to me and explained carefully. Without talking down to me. I drove 150 miles in a record setting wind storm to keep this appointment and it was worth it.
