Wound Care

We have several highly skilled wound care therapists with an average of 18+ years of experience in all types of wound care. Because we are located in a rural area, we have seen many inpatients and outpatients with very complicated wound care needs.

We are able to provide a large variety of wound care services, including debridment, wound vacs, ultrasound debridment, and hundreds of innovative dressing choices. Because our therapists work as inpatient and outpatient therapists, the clinic has expansive hours and days to meet most needs as well as provide services while you are receiving IV antibiotics or IV pain management.

All of our therapists are licensed to provide sharp debridment to remove unhealthy tissue from wounds. This decreases the bacterial load and promotes healing. We can work with your referring provider on pain management as necessary.

We are also able to use MIST® therapy (ultrasound) and certain medications with your dressings to help remove this tissue as well. We often act in a consulting capacity to home health nursing, pediatric physicians, and local nursing homes for dressing and skin care recommendations.

Additionally, we are able to care for a variety of wounds, including burns, pressure wounds, diabetic wounds, traumas, and those that occur with chronic swelling. With venous wounds, it is important to manage swelling as part of the wound healing process. It is possible to close wounds that have been open for 20 years, if swelling management is part of treatment. As needed, wound care treatment can be teamed up with the lymphedema clinic for more difficult edema management.
