Providence hosts food drive for Volunteers of America on April 21

Published April 13, 2015

Providence is partnering with the Volunteers of America to help feed the poor and vulnerable in our community! Both Colby and Pacific Cafeterias will be designated drop-off locations for non-perishable food items on April 21. We encourage all caregivers (employees) to consider donating some non-perishable food items. Here's a list of some of the most needed items:

  • Canned chili
  • Rice
  • Baking items (sugar, flour, etc.)
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables
  • Tuna helper
  • Mac 'n' cheese
  • Jam/jelly
  • Peanut butter
  • Infant formula

Please consider low sodium and sugar free items for special diets.

The Volunteers of America serves an average of 4,742 people per month with 30% of those being children. Help us beat hunger and provide for our community by donating non-perishable food items next week.
