Be inspired by Nurses' Week lecture– May 6

Published April 27, 2015

National Nurses’ Week begins every year on May 6 and ends on May 12, in honor of Florence Nightingale’s birthday.

To kick off Nurses’ Week, please join us for a special event with Sister Carol Keehan, DC, president and CEO of the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA), as we honor our nurses and the excellent care they provide. Providence’s sixth annual Distinguished Nursing Lectureship will be held Wednesday, May 6, 10-11 a.m. and will be webcast live to Providence and Swedish locations.

With more than 40 years as a nurse and administrator, Sister Carol is a strong advocate for compassionate health care for all. She has been honored with the American Hospital Association’s Trustee Award, the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (Cross for the Church and Pontiff) bestowed by Pope Benedict XVI, and Time magazine’s designation as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World.” Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from one of the leaders in Catholic health care today.
