Barb Jacobsen Celebrates Retirement After 35 Years of Service

Published January 26, 2015

Barb Jacobson

Barb Jacobsen is celebrating her retirement after 35 years of dedicated service!  She has worked the past 16 years as a Coder on our Health Information Management team, after 19 years as a Unit Coordinator in the Emergency Department.  Barb recalls that when she first started working for Providence (General Hospital at the time), the Emergency Department was very small and had only 7 beds!  Among the many highlights through her years at Providence, her best and favorite was meeting her husband of 25 years who also worked in the Emergency Department as a security guard at the time.  On another special note, Barb and her husband are retiring together, within just days of each other! They are looking forward to traveling and volunteering in the community together as their next chapter unfolds.

Please join us as we honor, thank, and celebrate with Barb on Thursday, January 29, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m., in the Olympic Room in the Medical Office Building.
