Karla Butts Now Serves as Distribution Manager

A Message from George Ott, Director of Supply Chain Operations
It is my pleasure to announce that Karla Butts, who previously served as our Supply Chain Management Distribution Supervisor, has accepted the position of Distribution Manager. Her official start date was June 1, but she has filled in as interim manager for the previous 6 - 8 weeks.
Karla received her bachelor’s degree in Global Studies/Human Rights from the University of Washington. In the last year as Supply Chain Supervisor, Karla’s accomplishments included the implementation of room turn-over packs for EVS/Linen to reduce linen cost and the Pacific/Pavilion Par location remodel to decrease cost and improve efficiencies. She has been a key contributor to the upcoming implementation of patient supply cart in the A-Wing, and has participated in many cost savings initiatives through Choose Providence. Karla is also an active participant on the following committees:
- Emergency Preparedness
- Green Team
- Safe Patient Handling
- Products Value Analysis Team (PEVAT)
- Employee Injury Reduction Steering Committee
