Volunteers needed for firearm safety event on June 20

Providence, in partnership with Seattle Children's, is coordinating a gun lock box giveaway event on Saturday, June 20 in Monroe and is looking for 10-15 volunteers.

Volunteers will be responsible for traffic control, crowd management and safety, greeting the public, sign in and registration, filling out release forms, conducting surveys, “Kids Corner” activities, and other duties as assigned. The actual event is from 10 to 1 p.m. however we will need volunteers starting as early as 7 a.m. to help set up and receive orientation on assigned duties. 

Volunteers may include Providence staff, Safe Kids members, as well as friends and family interested in participating (must be 18 years or older).  No experience necessary, Seattle Children’s staff will be on hand to ensure everyone has a clear role and feels comfortable with their assigned tasks.
