Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic seeks books, volunteer readers for Reach Out and Read

Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic is part of Reach Out and Read, an evidence-based nonprofit organization of medical providers who promote early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms nationwide by integrating children’s books and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud into well-child visits.

PECH is seeking book donations and volunteer readers for the program. Every child gets a free book to take home, and volunteer readers make appointment wait times more comfortable for children and their families.
