Acute Care Program - Colby Campus
Providence Rehabilitation Services provides more than 70,000 treatments annually to inpatients at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. When patients with diagnoses such as heart attacks, head injuries and fractured hips begin receiving appropriate therapy as soon as possible, they receive the benefits of greater mobility and enhanced ability to care for themselves after leaving the hospital. Physicians and insurance companies also benefit from a therapist's evaluation of a patient's functioning ability to help determine the next step in continuing care.

Physical therapy (PT) will be an important part of your rehabilitation after your total knee replacement. Initially after total joint surgery, your new joint may be stiff and painful and weak, affecting how you move. Through education, exercise and training, PT can help you restore your strength, range of motion, balance and gait function, which can in turn ease your transition home.
Occupational therapy (OT) can be beneficial to help you to relearn how to manage many other functions that most of us take for granted. Some other of these activities may include dressing, bathing and home management. The Occupational therapist can work with you to help solve problems regarding these tasks and teach you new methods of maximizing your independent functioning, while minimizing the pain.
After you are discharged from acute care, you may be referred for outpatient PT or OT. Providence Regional Medical Center Everett Outpatient Rehabilitation Center is ready to help you! Our team can help you further improve and progress your strength, flexibility, functional activities and walking skills.
Providence Regional Medical Center Everett Outpatient Rehabilitation Center is located at 916 Pacific Avenue in Everett, WA. Our hours are 7:30 a.m. - 6:30p.m. Monday through Friday. Our phone number is (425) 258-7600
Inpatient Rehabilitation Program - Pacific Campus
The 19-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit located at Providence's Pacific Campus cares for nearly 300 patients each year. Here, therapy is focused on giving patients the skills and support they need to stay at home after discharge. Therapy revolves around enabling patients to attain improved mobility and self-care skills such as dressing, bathing, feeding and toileting. Our approach also includes ensuring that families feel prepared to meet ongoing care needs of the patient.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Program significantly exceeds national averages for amount of function gained per patient. This means that for every day of rehabilitation, our patients make quicker progress towards greater independence. Since 1980, the Inpatient Rehabilitation Program has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF standards of care allow Providence Regional to maintain high quality, valuable rehabilitation services for all persons served.
