What can new patients expect for their first visit?

The first visit will be in your home (or at the hospital if arranged prior to your discharge). The Client Care Coordinator will need to conduct a safety inspection of your home, review your health status, current medications and determine your eligibility for VA, Medicaid or Long Term Care Insurance policy coverage. Please have all of this information available for the initial visit.

Can I schedule service for less than two hours per shift?

Providence DominiCare requires a two-hour minimum for all services in your home.

What will it cost?

Providence DominiCare charges on a sliding fee scale, based on your monthly income. Some clients with VA benefits, Medicaid assistance or long-term-care insurance policies are eligible to receive our services at greatly reduced rates, and sometimes at no cost. A special transitional rate offered for patients being discharged from a Providence facility.

How do I schedule an appointment?

To request an appointment please call us at (509) 935-4925 or email DominiCare@providence.org. After contacting our office, our Client Coordinator will meet you in your home to discuss the range of services offers, scheduling, and associated fees.

How do I get to Providence Dominicare?

Our office is just a few blocks away from St. Joseph’s Hospital and Long Term Care Center, in Chewelah, Washington at 110 S. Third Street E.

From Colville: head south on Highway 395. In Chewelah, take a left at the stoplight. Take first right, then take left into alley between post office and bank. Our offices are located behind the bank in that building.

From Spokane: head north on Highway 395. In Chewelah, take a right at the stoplight. Take first right, then take left into alley between post office and bank. Our offices are located behind the bank in that building.
