Events & Group Calendar

Workshops, events, and support groups are held at Providence Hospice of Seattle, 425 Pontius Avenue N, Seattle, WA 98109 except where noted (get directions). Some groups require registration. All services are offered at little to no cost to the community. We gladly accept donations.

Grief Support Groups for Adults

We offer a variety of grief support groups, workshops, and events for adults who are grieving. All of them are available to anyone in our community, regardless of whether or not you've used our hospice services.

We offer a variety of support groups, workshops, and events for children and teens who are grieving. Registration is required. All of them are available to any child or teen in our community, regardless of whether or not they used our hospice services.

Drop-In Groups

Newly Bereaved Support and Education

Grief support and education for people who have experienced a loss within the last three months. This is a drop-in, one-time-only group. Registration not required.

When: Second Saturday of each month, 10:00-11:30 AM

Partner/Spousal Loss Support Group

A monthly drop-in group for adults who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner in the past year. Registration not required.

The July 5 group is cancelled. Our partner/spouse loss support group will resume August 2.

Swedish Cancer Institute
Thursdays, July 10 through August 14, 6:00-8:00 PM

 


Letting Grow

Support group for people with developmental disabilities who are grieving the death of a loved one. Registration required.

Loss of a Child Specific Support Groups

The Mother's Tea

Drop in supportive gathering for mothers of adult children (21 or older) who have died. Please call (206) 749-7704 for more information.

Grief Support For Children and Teens

Registration Required Groups & Workshops

Parent/Child Grief Support Group 2013

Support group for children (ages 5 to 12) and their parents. Children share feelings through talk, art, and play, while parents meet separately to explore ways to cope with their own grief and support their children. Registration required.

Events and Camp

Family Day Camps

Come together with other kids, teens, and families for education, play, and support in a fun setting.

These day camps provide offerings for kids and teens who have experienced the loss of someone special.

This day camp is specifically designed for kids and teens who have experienced the loss of a sibling.

Camp Erin-King County

Camp will be held September 12-14, 2014 (K-6th grade) and September 26-28, 2014 for (7th-12th grade).
