Events & Group Calendar

Workshops, events, and support groups are held at Providence Hospice of Seattle, 425 Pontius Avenue N, Seattle, WA 98109 except where noted (get directions). Some groups require registration. All services are offered at little to no cost to the community. We gladly accept donations.

Grief Support Groups for Adults

We offer a variety of grief support groups, workshops, and events for adults who are grieving. All of them are available to anyone in our community, regardless of whether or not you've used our hospice services.

We offer a variety of support groups, workshops, and events for children and teens who are grieving. Registration is required. All of them are available to any child or teen in our community, regardless of whether or not they used our hospice services.

Grief and the Holidays - Remembrance and Candle-Lighting

Join us for a candle-lighting remembrance service that will provide comfort and community, as we approach the holidays.

Lighting a Light for our Children - Remembrance and Candle-Lighting Service
Held on the Internaional Day of Remembrance, this event unites family and friends around the globe in lightin candles to honor and remember children who have died. Hosted by Providence Hospice of Seattle Grief Support Services and Stepping Stones Pediatric Palliative Care Program. For more information, call 206-749-7704.

Drop-In Support Group

Newly Bereaved Support and Education

Grief support and education for people who have experienced a loss within the last three months. This is a drop-in, one-time-only group. Registration not required.

Partner/Spousal Loss Support Group

A monthly drop-in group for adults who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner in the past year. Registration not required.

Letting Grow

Support group for people with developmental disabilities who are grieving the death of a loved one. Registration required.

Ways to Remember
Movements Through Grief

A 6-week support group exploring grief with yoga philosophy, stretching, and exercises. All abilites elcome. No prior yoga experience necessary. Registration required. For information/registration, please call 206-749-7702.

The Mother's Tea

Parent/Child Grief Support Group 2014

Support group for children (ages 5 to 12) and their parents. Children share feelings through talk, art, and play, while parents meet separately to explore ways to cope with their own grief and support their children. Registration required.

Family Bonfire

Build a bonfire together in memory of a loved one who has died. Bring a piece of wood or kindling if you can!
