“A Blessing of the Animals” Event in Seattle’s South Lake Union
SEATTLE, WA – The public is invited to bring their animals – big, small, live, photos and stuffed - to Immanuel Lutheran Congregation in Seattle on Saturday Oct. 6, 2012, to have them blessed by clergy from Immanuel Lutheran Congregation in honor of St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day. Beginning at 10 a.m., Immanuel Lutheran Congregation Pastor Susan Vanhoy Burchfield and several other Lutheran pastors from the community will bless the animals at the church at 1215 Thomas Street, in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Animals are welcome on a leash or in carriers. Coffee, hot cocoa and light morning snacks will be served. For more information, call (206) 622-1930.
