Colville, WA—Providence NorthEast Washington Medical Group (PNEWMG) now provides same day appointments at its main clinic located at 1200 E. Columbia in Colville. This additional service is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients may call (509) 684-3701 to schedule an appointment.

“Providence is constantly improving access to quality health care as part of our work to help those in our community get and stay healthy,” says Ron Rehn, chief executive of Providence Health Care’s Stevens County hospitals and medical clinics. "Providing care when it is needed and in the most appropriate setting helps our patients recover faster, and in many cases, avoid costly hospital stays,” he adds.

Medical providers at the Providence clinic can diagnose and treat many common health issues and minor injuries. Medical conditions frequently treated at the clinic as same day appointments include:

  • Sore throat
  • Bronchitis
  • Sinus infection
  • Cold and flu
  • Headaches or Earaches
  • Bladder infections
  • Minor injuries such as sprains, strains, cuts, burns and rashes

Providence NorthEast Washington Medical Group clinic on Columbia has one-stop care with x-ray, lab and pharmacy all in one location. The clinic’s electronic medical record system makes current medical records available to a patient’s provider, even if the patient was last seen by a Providence provider at another location. Another convenience is that patients at all Providence clinics have access to their own medical records, through a service called My Chart. “Together, these services in one location give patients more access, greater convenience and a high level of care,” says Rehn.
