Providence Honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
January 11, 2016
Join us, Monday, January 18, at Providence Holy Family Hospital or Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital for events honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Hear from Reverend Percy “Happy” Watkins as he delivers the famous “I Have a Dream” speech first heard in 1963 in Washington, DC, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Join us for reflection, music and refreshments. The event is free with no registration required.
As a nation we celebrate and honor Dr. King and his dream of a country united in justice, peace and values of equality, tolerance, cooperation and sharing. No other day of the year brings so many people from different cultures together in the spirit of brother and sisterhood. Dr. King was America’s greatest champion of racial justice and equality.
