Learn how the Food and Nutrition Department at Providence Everett is recognizing Earth Day

As part of Earth Day, the Food and Nutrition department at PRMCE is promoting “I commit”. This is a program that promotes ways to help the environment and reduce waste. Here are ways our food and nutrition department is working towards helping our environment and reducing waste:

• Energy efficient lighting in all food and nutrition areas
• Compost all consumer waste
• Cage free eggs
• Compostable containers
• Work with local farmers markets
• Promote vegetarian options
• Reduce food waste
