Walla Walla, WA—Robert Watilo, the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for Providence St. Mary and Kadlec Health System, has been named the Integration Officer to bring Walla Walla General Hospital into Providence Health & Services Washington.

As part of this expansion of his CSO role, he will oversee the integration and the work of the teams to ensure they align with the vision to improve health care delivery in the Walla Walla Valley, and meet strategic goals.

As the CSO, he has been involved in the transaction since talks began with Adventist Health.

Rob has been with Providence since 1996. He worked for Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia and Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia for the first 15 years of his career in various Strategy and Business Development roles. Rob worked on numerous projects, including an Emergency Department expansion, ICU addition and development of the total joint replacement program. He also led a primary care expansion plan, which brought primary care under Providence back to his home town in Chehalis, WA.

Rob moved to Walla Walla in 2011 to serve as the Chief Strategy Officer for Providence St. Mary Medical Center. He led the implementation of a one-call transfer center for referring hospitals, outreach clinic development and expansion of radiation oncology services. In August 2015, his responsibilities grew to include CSO roles for Kadlec Health System.

His current responsibilities also include service line development, outreach activities, telehealth and provisioning of Epic to referring hospitals and physician groups.
