We are pleased to once again offer cancer nutrition services in conjunction with Providence St. Peter Hospital. One of the most frequent questions that newly diagnosed patients ask is: "Are there certain foods I should eat or avoid?" To find out the answer to this and other questions, and to learn helpful eating tips while undergoing cancer treatment, come to this informative class!

Nutrition for cancer patients

There can be many nutritional obstacles for a person with cancer, including loss of appetite, nausea and alterations in taste. This free informational class can provide nutritional tips to get your system through this challenging time. The class is valuable for family members and caregivers as well, and will be taught by Chad Aschtgen, N.D., FABNO.

Instructor Bio

Chad Aschtgen, N.D., FABNO, specializes in integrative oncology, providing expert naturopathic care for patients with cancer or interest in cancer prevention. Whether newly diagnosed, currently receiving conventional treatment (including chemotherapy, biological therapies, radiation and pre-/post-surgery), recently post-treatment or in remission, individuals facing the difficulties of cancer have a great resource in Dr. Aschtgen. He works closely with his patients to create customized and dynamic integrative treatment plans that take into consideration all aspects of an individual’s health and medical care.
