Comprehensive Urologic Care for Kids

Pediatric urology deals with problems of the kidneys, bladder, ureters (urine tubes), and male/female genitalia in children. Patients are managed both medically, and surgically in the hospital.

Common pediatric urology problems treated include:

  • Hypospadias
  • Undescended testicles
  • Blockages of the kidney or bladder
  • Urinary reflux (urine going backward into the kidneys)
  • Kidney stones
  • Varicoceles (dilated veins in the scrotum)
  • Testis and kidney tumors
  • Bed wetting
  • Daytime wetting
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections.

Urologists also see pregnant moms with a prenatal diagnosis of hydronephrosis, and do post-natal evaluations. They also offer newborn circumcisions.

New services include evaluation and treatment of pediatric stones, and laparoscopic robotic-assisted procedures to correct kidney and bladder problems.
