Cancer Patient & Family Resources

Don’t face cancer alone

Providence Regional Cancer Center offers a full range of services to support the physical, emotional and spiritual needs surrounding a cancer diagnosis. No family should have to face the questions or challenges of cancer diagnosis and treatment alone.

Cancer Care Coordinators

These specialists help coordinate care, explain treatment and answer questions.

Chaplaincy Services

Your spiritual health is an important part of cancer treatment and recovery. Board certified chaplains and Catholic priests are available 24 hours a day to visit you or your family. Our chaplains will even contact your pastor, priest, rabbi or spiritual advisor. We respect the spiritual traditions of all patients.

We can design a diet and supplement plan conducive to healing.

ACS Navigator

The American Cancer Society Patient Navigator program helps patients, families and caregivers navigate the many systems encountered during the cancer journey. Trained patient navigators link those dealing with cancer to needed programs and resources.

Providence Center for Health & Wellness

When the Sisters of Providence gave us their convent and garden for the Providence Center for Faith and Healing, they encouraged us to use it to create a beautiful space where people could get away from the hospital, connect with God and nourish their spirits in nature.

The Meditation Garden is a peaceful place with flowing streams, waterfalls, walking paths and places to sit and breathe in beauty. The garden is accessible 24 hours a day through a gate on the north side, facing the Providence Sacred Heart Emergency Department on 8th Avenue. Learn More
