Breast Cancer

The statistics are hard to ignore

One in eight women will have breast cancer. For women older than 40, one in three will be diagnosed with a breast health concern. That’s your mother, your sister, your daughter – you. If you or someone you love is facing a breast cancer diagnosis, Providence is here for you. We offer the best possible, most comprehensive breast care – right here, close to where you live and work. We also provide support and sensitivity that comes only from experience.

Breast tumor board:

Our multi-disciplinary panel of doctors and nurses meets weekly to evaluate new breast cancer cases. It’s like having your own team of breast cancer experts – including a pathologist, breast radiologist, breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast care coordinator and research coordinator – to review your situation and develop a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan.

Breast care coordinator:

Every woman newly diagnosed with breast cancer meets with our breast care coordinator, who helps her understand her diagnosis and treatment options. As your treatment progresses, you can call or meet with her anytime to ask questions about issues affecting your treatment, receive emotional support or get help finding resources like transportation, housing, financial assistance, wigs, breast prosthesis and medications.
