Providence O’Christmas Trees raises record $1.5 million for PSCS ministries
The glamour and glitz of the holiday season turned into a bidding frenzy on Wednesday, Nov. 29 as 775 guests who attended the gala dinner and auction bid up the price of one uniquely decorated Christmas tree to a whopping $50,000. Not only did the “Grandma Honey’s Christmas” (pictured right) tree fetch top dollar, it was also donated to Providence Mount St. Vincent for our residents and patients to enjoy. We are grateful to donor David & Sandy Sabey and Majdi and Dana Daher for their generosity!
Guests who attended the gala enthusiastically bought 14 beautifully decorated Christmas trees loaded with toys and gifts and several donated their trees to other charities to help spread the holiday cheer. Donor Bob & Annette Parks purchased the“Sugar Plum Fairy – Land of Dreams” tree for Providence John Gabriel House, and other generous donors purchased the “Jingle ‘Owl’ the Way” tree for Providence Heritage House at the Market and the “Pan-da-mo-ni-um” tree was donated to the St. Joseph Residence, home to retired Sisters of Providence.
Thank you to the many caregivers who volunteered at the events and to everyone who attended as guests, we appreciate all of your support!
