The Providence General Foundation has a variety of funds that you can support based on your own personal areas of interest.
Contributions can come into the Providence General Foundation in two ways. Support given for a specific purpose is restricted in its use and can only be used for the donor’s intended purpose. Gifts given for general use are unrestricted, and can be directed to the area of greatest need. How unrestricted funds are allocated is determined by the Providence General Foundation with thoughtful consideration and in coordination with hospital administration. Most funding supports programs and services that cannot be accommodated in the hospital’s budget and that would not be possible without the private support of generous donors like you.
Providence General Foundation Funding Areas
The Campaign for Providence - Medical Tower Capital Campaign
In June 2011, Providence Regional Medical Center Everett opened the doors of a new 368-bed, $500 million, state-of-the-art Medical Tower transforming the delivery of health care for the people of Northwest Washington. The new Cymbaluk Medical Tower is the single largest infrastructure investment ever undertaken in Providence Health & Services’ five-state region. In support of this project, Providence General Foundation has launched The Campaign for Providence—the most significant fundraising initiative in the history of Snohomish County.
Cancer Patient Assistance Fund
Assist cancer patients experiencing financial hardship as a result of their cancer diagnosis. Help pay for food, rent, utilities, prescriptions and other critical expenses when they are out of work or strapped by unplanned medical expenses.
Comprehensive Breast Center
Since its inception, the Breast Center has experienced tremendous growth. Funds will benefit new technology to more efficiently screen patients and increase quality imaging. Increase the ability of the Center to offer outreach programs and screening for women in rural areas of Snohomish County.
Newborn Intensive Care Unit
With volumes higher than ever, the needs in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit are greater than ever. Help fund additional or replacement equipment, new programs, or the ability to expand as demand for services increase.
Providence Children’s Center
Funds to the Children’s Center will increase the Center’s capability of serving families with medically fragile children and those with developmental disabilities. Expand early intervention programs, therapy and support to meet their children’s special needs.
The Heart & Vascular Institute
Providence Regional Medical Center Everett has one of the largest, most advanced heart and vascular programs in Washington. It has received numerous awards for excellence in cardiovascular care and has been named as one of the top 100 cardiovascular hospitals in the nation. Supporting our Heart & Vascular Institute helps ensure access to the growing need of these services and expanding technology.
