Dr. Oliver Ochs—a young, interventional radiologist practicing at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett—was a fearless leader on Providence’s Medical Staff from 2011 to 2015. He stepped onto the Board with little leadership experience, and through mentoring and persistence, transformed into a beloved leader widely respected by his peers. Unfortunately, an unexpected accident took the life of Dr. Ochs in September 2015.
To honor Oliver’s memory, Providence Regional Medical Center and Providence General Foundation have established an endowment in his name. The Oliver Ochs, MD, Memorial Endowment will fund an annual lecture offered to medical staff and students focusing on themes such as teamwork, listening, collaboration, change, and leading with love, laughter, and joy—all leadership qualities Oliver exemplified. The lectures will provide current and future generations of physicians the opportunity to transform, like Dr. Ochs, into better leaders.
