Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Caregiver Giving Campaign?

Providence St. Mary Foundation launches the Caregiver Giving Campaign once per year, asking employees to consider a personal investment towards their passion. The campaign allows every member of the St. Mary family to connect with our mission and support our patients through personal financial contributions.

The Caregiver Giving Campaign represents the meaningful difference philanthropy can make when a large group of supporters band together to support their passions at whatever financial level is personally meaningful to them.

Is participation mandatory?

No. Financial contributions are 100% voluntary and 100% appreciated.

How do I donate?

Payroll deductions provide the easiest way to contribute. An online pledge form is available here. You may make a gift online via credit card here.

Where does my donation go?

You tell us! You may direct your support to the Greatest Need (unrestricted dollars that support a variety of needs as determined by the Foundation’s local Board of Directors) or to any of these areas:

  • Hope Fund (caregiver assistance)
  • Cancer Center
  • Trauma & Emergency Care
  • Intensive Care
  • Good Samaritan Fund (patient assistance
  • Family Birth Center
  • Home Health
  • Ean Erickson Life Saver Fund (mammogram fund)
  • Other: You can view a complete list of the Funds here »

How much should I give?

Only you can make that decision. Your participation is important at whatever level is personally meaningful to you. Some employees choose to pledge a specific amount at one time while others opt to select an amount for a bi-weekly payroll deduction.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Absolutely! Your payroll deductions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

I already give so much, why should I contribute financially?

The answer to this question is simple—if you don’t give, who will? The paid employees of Providence see firsthand every day how important our work here is. If we see the need and do not give, who will? We have a great opportunity—and responsibility—to be good stewards of what we have been given. Strong caregiver participation states loudly to our community that, together, we are invested in St. Mary. And ultimately, giving feels good. Rest assured, every dollar stays local and goes to support the fund you selected.
