Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Sounds like it was hard for our primary Dr. to get info to your office so you would call me to set up an appointment. My Dr. had to send info. twice. Took almost a month to get the call.

He spoke so quickly (fast) I barely understood him (I'm deaf in one ear, so this was difficult) & he did NOT once speak directly to my son, who was the patient. Orders were not clarified i.e.: Take X Lax (no directions or dosage).

He seemed to overly minimize my concerns even though we were coming in with a new diagnosis of Celiac disease. He seemed rushed and did not seem sympathetic.

This provider was very insensitive to my daughters needs, called her a "lazy [...] student" and even laughed when told she passed out during a procedure!

Could not get into this office for a long time but then a cancellation and with the help and urging of primary care provider - was seen this date. Visit felt rushed. Will recommend because there are no other pediatric gastroenterologists in town.

staff and provider were very friendly. provider talked very fast and I sometimes struggled to keep up. it was helpful that everything was typed out for me before I left.

Every person we came in contact with during this process was very nice. Treated [...] with respect and as a young man whose opinion and feelings mattered.

I think the provider's intention is to try to listen and to try to ask questions that are related to the situation; however, I think he sometimes talks in terms that I don't quite understand. Overall, I think he and his staff try to give good care to me and other patients.

wait time was longer than normal, yet waiting room was not busy. once in a private room, i could hear the nurses & office staff busy chatting about their lunch plans & heading out the door, when dr finally arrived(35+ mins later) he mentioned he wasn't aware we were waiting for him/staff forgot to let him know we were in the room waiting for him.

Dr.Dezenberg is a wonderful doctor. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He takes time to listen to you and addresses your concerns in a way that is easy to understand. We have multiple doctors for my daughter that being said Dr Dezenberg is by far our favorite and we trust him completely in the care of our daughter. He goes above and beyond for his patients.

Very rushed - needs better 'bedside manner."

Our GP had a hard time finding a pediatric gastroenterologist specialist, so it took a few weeks to get our appointment set up. Once we started working with Dr. Dezenberg's office, everything was smooth after that.

Would just like it if I could find a solution to some of the issues, instead of having them brushed off...
