Philosophy of Care

My philosophy in medicine is to care not just for the disease but mainly the individual being affected in the context of their community. I believe in building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with patients and helping them overcome barriers to health. I am also a strong proponent of disease prevention and firmly believe in education as a tool for empowering individuals to take ownership of their health.

Patient Ratings and Comments

The Patient Rating score is based on responses given during the CAHPS Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a 10-point scale, with 10 being the best score. These scores are then translated to a 5-point scale in order to display results in a 5-star rating. Comments are also gathered from the same survey and displayed in their entirety with the exception of any language that may be considered slander, libel or contain private health information, which will be removed prior to publishing the comments. These comments are the views and opinions of patients and are not endorsed by or necessarily reflect the views of Providence.

Long wait time. Needs to work on being sensitive to patient when there are some major concerns that are being addressed.

the Dr really cares about me, and I believe he looks out for what's best for me he is one of the best Dr. he is truly a one of a kind. I am lucky to have him as my Dr

Dr. Maz is really great so myself and my husband both use him as our primary. There is a psychiatrist that was overlooking some of my care with medicine however I feel he/she did not read my chart since prescribing medicine that causes headaches to myself that suffers and is being treated for headaches. this psychiatrist also never introduced herself/himself to me at an appointment with Dr.Maz or at an appointment with the social worker [...]. I felt that the psychiatrist decreased the quality of my care by not reading my medical information or taking it into consideration when recommending medicines for my primary.

the doctor and staff have always been extremely competent, professional and responsive to my concerns.

Dr. Mazanderani seems like he knows me well as apt. though he's not my PCP. Very knowledgeable, compassionate & caring.

I was very happy with his concern and advice!

I'm getting a second opinion else where because of how poor my experience was. And I've literally been coming her my entire life.

Dr. Adel was an amazing and caring person. I was extremely happy with every aspect of his help.

I left my original PCP after 9 yrs because I felt he was burned out, Dr. Mazanderani is compassionate, knowledgeable, not afraid to get second opinion from other drs courteous quick to get orders in, and responds quickly to emails. I feel I am in really good hands. I am glad I changed PCP!
